Why use World of Rhythm?
We have very experienced facilitators who have been running rhythm based events for the last 15 years. We have completed facilitation training with the worldwide rhythm facilitation network in Hawaii. We work with leadership and training consultants which give us an unique authentic mix of arts and business. As well as Musical one off events, we are able to offer larger scale events, such as festivals, themed Tribal events and leadership trips to Nepal. We have developed a charity, which gives back to the children of Nepal. Our director Simon McCarty started this himself and a percentage of our profits help this project directly.
Profile: Simon McCarty

Simon has a long history (10+ years) of facilitating drum and percussion programmes in the community and in corporate settings. Having formed his own companies in 1997, Tribal Earth and Talking Drums, these have since been absorbed by World of Rhythm, of which he is the Director.
Through love of music and tireless work, Simon has become greatly experienced in the organisation of musical events in many countries. His knowledge of rhythm and facilitation is highly regarded and much in demand. He is currently working on projects in England, USA, Dubai, Italy, Slovenia, Romania, Hawaii, Nepal and Bhutan.
In 2003, he established the Happy Home Hostel in Kathmandu, Nepal, as part of The Pegasus Children's Project for homeless children. Much of Simon's time is dedicated to building upon the success of this venture and expanding the hostel for a greater number of beneficiaries. With the Pegasus English School, World of Rhythm works through related projects to provide shelter, health, education and music for children in Nepal.

Chris Tero
Chris has been making music since he was a teenager, playing clarinet in his local youth orchestra and electric bass in his mate's bands.
Chris studied for a degree in Related Arts at Brighton University, changing his major from music to dance after the first year, seeing this as a logical progression given the close connection between the two.
He pursued this interest by attending the Laban Centre at Goldsmiths college, University of London, gaining a post graduate certificate in dance and movement in 1987, when he first discovered his passion for African dance and music.
This led to further study of various other world cultures, through travelling and performing with artists from different countries. As a professional performer, Chris has toured Europe numerous times since the early nineties. As an educationalist, he has been working since 1990, although he started offering sessions to the corporate sector from 1997. Chris immediately identified common ground between the two worlds and continues to be fascinated by their ever deepening relationship.
In 2004, Chris joined World of Rhythm as Creative Director and senior facilitator. Since then, in collaboration with other artists and creative consultants, he continues to share his experience and knowledge.
