What do you provide?
We provide team building ideas, Ice breaker activities and creative leadership development in the form of hands on sessions such as drumming, dance, theatre and art. We now also offer CSR team events which involves dome building for schools.
What is a drum circle?
A Drum Circle is simply a way of communicating by playing hand drums and percussion together in a professional and supportive environment. Think of it as a rhythm orchestra which can be any number of people – we have enough instruments for up to 2000 people.
Wow, this all sounds interesting and different but how can it help our organisation?
Our basic philosophy is that the most effective way to learn and grow individually and as teams, is to embody the experiences gained from hands-on training. We incorporate energizing music, movement and improvisation into our creative sessions to help inspire and challenge a wide variety of teams around the world. Individuals and teams will feel more energized, connected and passionate about their work.
How can I convince my boss, my director or my team to use this?
A rhythm orchestra provides a wonderful discussion metaphor for business. An orchestra needs to communicate well to achieve its goals. Everyone plays a unique role within the music or organisation. We need to listen, respect each other, to give each other space. We need the bass drums to provide the backbone of the music, we need the solo players to express themselves and to network the organisations unique selling points … notes! The music we produce can often be mapped back to how we can work together to build upon existing strengths, working toward greater efficiency and cohesion in everyday practices. Communication, presence and authenticity are essential in today’s organisations, and by playing together we encourage team development and connection to each other by having fun with drums!
Oh not another teambuilding day; will I look stupid doing this?
Our sessions are safe, supportive and non – threatening. They are also fresh, upbeat and fun. We encourage participation for people to express themselves, not make fools of themselves.
